Veolia Energia Łódź is one of the largest energy enterprises in Poland, a continuer of over a hundred-year tradition of energetics in Łódź, based on the co-generation of system heat and electrical power. In addition to investments in renewable energy sources, Veolia also works for rational heat consumption, balanced development, and is a partner in several initiatives for the local community, the city, and the region. Łódź heating network is the second largest in the state. It allows Veolia to send system heat to about 60% of recipients in Łódź. It supplies industrial facilities, public facility buildings, as well as shopping and service centres. Veolia Energia Łódź participates in some of the largest investments in town, and co-operates actively with Łódź Special Economic Zone. Together with the local authorities, it also works on the removal of the low-stack emission sources.
